Fabric Choice is up to the student and all materials are included unless the student wishes to bring their own fashion or cover fabric. Details can be discussed. Several price options are listed according to fashion fabric options. All taxes included.

This class will teach traditional construction techniques to build a Victorian top hat in the size of the students choice. Novice hand sewing skills are a must. Finishing with decorations as desired will be part of the workshop and the student should be prepared to spend the 16 hours to finish the hat.

This class is a fun time learning to create a fascinator with a colourful material called crin. Each participant will get to choose the colour of crin they desire and when they arrive to class the base will be made and ready for them to decorate with our huge supply of ribbons, feathers and flowers. Special techniques for creating exciting designs will be taught and at the end of the class you'll have a smart topper to add to your wardrobe. Colours available are limited and change often so register early to get a fresh list and first choice.

Registration Deadline is one (1) month minimum prior to starting class.

Adults. Children over 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

1-2 Students in class

This class is more involved in traditional millinery skills. Starting with a wool hood of the students choice, steaming and initial shaping will be taught in the first session if you divide the class over a few sessions. The second session will involve sewing head-size band, trimming brim width and pouncing. The third session will involve decorating. All of this will be taught during the intensive 2 day class too.

Feathers, Flowers and ribbons for decorating are supplied and we can assist in the students choices in decorations. This hat will also be made to fit the student. The Student will also get to choose the shape of the hat from a our selection of blocks.

Wool hood colour choice to be made at time of registration. Sample colours available for viewing at the studio or by email colour chart. Come in anytime during regular Studio hours.

A fun and simple fascinator is made with fabric and vintage buttons of the students choice as well as feathers and/or ribbons. It can be worn either on a headband or slide. Guided instruction will ensure each student gets to go home with a wonderful headpiece.

Learn to make a classic and popular wool button fascinator. Guided instruction through the use of flowers, feathers and other decorations will insure a beautiful hat to wear to a wedding or winter event. Students will choose a base colour ahead of time (please allow a week minimum) and have access to thousands of millinery supplies. When registering please choose a colour from the list below. Late registrants may not have full choice due to time restraints.

This class will challenge you a little. It is still suitable for beginners since there is no sewing. You will learn an interesting technique to make smaller hats. It is a great class for skill building, learning precision glue and fabric manipulation. You will make and decorate a small historically accurate top hat. The student can apply the steampunk look if they want or make it into a fun party hat for an upcoming event!
